The Senior International Philanthropy Officer will develop and oversee the fundraising strategy for PJ Library’s international programs, spanning 40+ countries outside North American and Israel.

Job Status: full-time; reporting to the New York-based Director of International Programs (and working closely with both the advancement team in Massachusetts and global staff); the position is hybrid (the Israel office is in Ramat Gan). Salary range: 30,000 – 38,000

As Senior International Philanthropy Officer, you get to:
- Work in collaboration with the Director of International Programs to build and implement a fundraising strategy comprised of major donors and international organizations raising $2 million with annual growth;
- Work in partnership with local PJ Library international directors to renew $1.25 million in donations from existing funders;
- Identify, research and raise $750,000 of new funding from international organizations and major donors;
- Support and enhance current PJ Library partnerships with Israel-based organizations;
- Look to scale beyond current structures (including perhaps running annual or bi-annual grassroots campaign in PJ Library major markets);
- Plan and execute parlor meetings and other fundraising events in PJ Library major markets;
- Utilize NXT database to manage all information pertaining to prospects, donors and their giving;
- Meet the Israel based team regularly for updating;
- Support the US-based grants team by providing content for all reporting and stewardship material;
- Assist the US based advancement team with planning international donor missions to PJ Library communities around the world.
This Job Is For You If You:
- Have 7+ years experience soliciting five-figure gifts from individual donors, foundations and international organizations;
- Have 4+ years fundraising experience based in Israel;
- Are completely fluent in spoken and written Hebrew and English;
- Are able to maintain relationships and network with prominent individuals;
- Can travel frequently (a minimum of 5 international trips a year);
- Have a proven track record of implementing development/fundraising concepts;
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a high level of competency to make presentations, pitches and speeches, and to prepare appropriate supporting material;
- Have personal relationships with Jewish philanthropic networks in major markets (the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa and beyond);
- Have existing relationships within Israel’s philanthropy community;
- Are able to interact with diplomacy and tact with influential stakeholders, and can maintain a high level of confidentiality;
- Are familiar with Raiser’s Edge.
