About The Society for Preservation of Israel Heritage Sites
Established in 1984, the Society preserves and commemorates historical sites that are related to Israel’s pathway to independence, those not covered by Israel’s Antiquities Law. In addition to promoting physical conservation of buildings and heritage sites, it develops sites of cultural importance, initiates rehabilitation programs, and develops educational programs that raise awareness for the cultural importance of conservation. Since October 7, the society has been building resilience among soldiers and civilians, helping communities heal from trauma, and rehabilitating heritage sites in the Western Negev and Northern Israel to support border region recovery and to commemorate the fallen.
As Resource Development Manager, You Get To:
- Work closely with the Head of Development to expand the donor-base and drive the organization’s growth both in Israel and internationally;
- Build a portfolio of supports in Israel and throughout the Jewish world;
- Developing and implement an annual fundraising plan to meet organizational goals;
- Assist in producing English-language donor-driven material (including report and budgets, correspondence, LOIs, and other supporting documents), adapting them to the needs of each donor and prospect and ensuring they are well-written, accurate and impact-driven;
- Develop opportunities for engaging new donors in the work of the organization;
- Prepare and lead donor meetings and visits.
This Job Is For You If You:
- Have demonstrated success (at least 5 years) raising major gifts in Israel and in the Jewish world;
- Have fluent English, with impeccable presentation skills – a MUST!
- Are fully conversant in Hebrew – both spoken and written;
- Have excellent interpersonal skills;
- Have proven experience working with detailed budgets;
- Can complete projects with exceptional attention to detail and efficiency;
- Are action-oriented and flexible, and are able to work independently as well as to collaborate with colleagues;
- Are familiar with data management;
- Are personable, motivated, and a team player;
- Can multi-task and prioritize, and are a quick learner;
