A celebrated and pioneering Youth Village in central Israel seeks experienced and highly-driven development professional to work with CEO to solicit major gifts for a series of cutting-edge capital projects.

This is an opportunity for an ambitious development professional able to take on sole responsibility for directing strategic fundraising decisions, managing all donor relationships, and working with CEO to generate the gifts necessary to build a series of leading-edge capital projects on campus. Only charismatic, self-starting wordsmiths need apply.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pursue new donor prospects and funding sources;
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with private donors, foundations and corporations in Israel and overseas, maintaining regular communication;
- Articulate the opportunities for prospective donors and be successful at closing gifts;
- Write and submit letters of inquiry and grant proposals;
- Track and prepare all required reporting and updates for donors;
- Secure gifts from individual donors and from foundations;
- Track financial grant management;
- Plan fundraising trips for leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Identify wholly with the organizational mission
- Native-level English speaker
- Fluent Hebrew speaker
- At least five years of fundraising experience in non-profit organizations
- Ability to successfully develop relationships with high net-worth individuals
- Experience cultivating and securing major gifts
- Understand the US philanthropic markets
- Experience forecasting, managing and reporting on budgets
- Undergraduate degree in relevant field.
- Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to manage multiple assignments with accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently with a minimum of supervision and effectively in a team environment.
- Budget planning and financial management experience – a plus
- Computer proficiency, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media, and fundraising CRM software
- Commitment to a long-term position.
