About Mavoi Satum
Mavoi Satum is the leading women’s organization advocating for women’s freedom from ghet abuse.
Mavoi Satum works to address the problem of ghet refusal both at the personal and at the national level – providing assistance to individual messoravot ghet (women who have been refused a Jewish divorce), along with advocacy campaigns aiming for a broad and systemic reform in Israeli society.
Services include legal counseling and representation, emotional and psychological support and empowerment training for women as well as Supreme Court appeals on cases that can lead to precedents for agunot and messurevot ghet.
As Director of Development, You Get To:
- Have full responsibility for all resource development activities;
- Have full responsibility for creating and implementing the annual fundraising plan;
- Develop with the CEO and senior team new self-generating income revenues that fully align with the organization’s mission;
- Oversee all grant proposals (including budgets) and reports, ensuring they are well-written, accurate, impact-driven, and tell a compelling story;
- Prepare and lead all donor meetings;
- Track grant cycles and donor engagement in an organized and streamlined manner, including all reporting requirements, check-in meetings, and donor cultivation activities.
This Job Is For You If You:
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a donor-facing development role;
- Have at least 2 years’ experience developing self-generating income revenues for an Israeli nonprofit;
- Speak English as a mother tongue;
- Have good Hebrew writing skills;
- Have a positive attitude and team spirit, with excellent verbal communication skills;
- Can manage multiple projects and priorities while consistently meeting deadlines;
- Can complete projects with exceptional attention to detail and efficiency;
- Are action-oriented and flexible, and are able to work independently as well as to collaborate with colleagues.
