The Chief Development Officer will report to OTS’s President (Israel based), join the organization’s Leadership Team, manage the development team and have overall responsibility for achieving OTS’s annual fundraising goals.

As OTS’s chief Development Officer, You Get To:
- Oversee and have full responsibility for all fundraising efforts;
- Direct solicitation of philanthropic contributions for all aspects of OTS’s work;
- Work with the President to create development strategies, including an annual development plan;
- Provide detailed fundraising progress reports to the President, Board, and the Fundraising Committee;
- Prioritize donor cultivation, stewardship, and recognition;
- Oversee production of all direct mail letters, case statements, grants, brochures, and sponsorship proposals to facilitate donor engagement;
- Oversee the grant process ensuring accountability to funding entities and maximizing revenue from grants and foundations;
- Ensure all internal and external communications are focused on quality, accuracy, and effectiveness;
- Participate in the orientation of new board members annually;
- Work with and support the Board Fundraising Committee;
- Develop and manage the annual Development budget;
- Support new and ongoing community engagement events, including parlor meetings, dinners and gatherings;
- Ensure all Development efforts are client-centered, and mission-focused.
This Job Is For You If You:
- Have 15-25 years of proven experience managing a nonprofit fundraising program;
- Have proven success stewarding seven-figure gifts;
- Have experience building and growing a high functioning team;
- Have demonstrated experience organizing and implementing direct mail campaigns and special events;
- Are a strategic and nuanced thinker capable of creating innovative ways to effectively engage new donor audiences;
- Have a deep understanding of the North American Jewish philanthropic landscape;
- Speak fluent Hebrew and English;
- Have strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, including empathy, patience, inclusivity, and active listening;
- Are committed to promoting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture;
- Are able and willing to work flexible hours to meet organizational needs;
- Are an experienced writer and speaker;
- Can multi-task and prioritize, and are a quick learner;
- Are detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic;
- Are ethical and able to model high personal and professional standards;
- Are proficient with Microsoft Office and familiar with CRMS.
