A leading out-of-home care organization, caring for 1,400 children and youth removed from their biological homes due to abuse and neglect, seeks an experienced English-language grant writer to join its External Affairs Department.

The position is a full time one, the organization’s offices are in Beit Shemesh (although the position is a hybrid one), and a good working knowledge of Hebrew is a must. Salary range: 10,000 – 15,000.

If you are an English-language writer, have ample experience putting your creative writing talent to good social use writing grants, LOIs, reports and all manner of donor-driven material, and have a very good working knowledge of Hebrew, then this if for you.
Duties
- Be responsible for all written communications, including grant proposals, reports marketing material and donor communications.
- Be responsible for budgets and financial reporting
- Maintain and steward donor relations
- Solicit annual gifts
- Organize and lead site visits
- Translate Hebrew materials into English
- Research, identify and reach out to new prospects
Required Skills and Experience
- Native-level English speaker with outstanding English writing skills – A Must!
- Conversational Hebrew
- At least two years of experience in grant writing and reporting
- Proven success in writing exceptionally high-quality reports to individual donors and foundations
- Be a self-starter who is entrepreneurial and with the confidence and maturity needed to join a driven team
- Able to meet multiple deadlines and work well under pressure
- Computer literacy: OFFICE, EXCEL, Salesforce, on-line grant reporting and submission.
