A regional council bordering on the Gaza strip, responsible for a large number of rural communities, seeks experienced and highly-driven development professional.

You will be responsible for developing a donor base, namely identifying, cultivating and soliciting funding prospects both abroad and in Israel, so as to fund a large number of social, welfare, cultural, educational and capital projects that affect the lives of thousands of Israelis in the kibbutzim, moshavim, community settlements and youth villages within the regional council.

DUTIES
- Work directly with elected leader of the regional council and its CEO to increase funding and create new income options
- Write all grant applications and all reports to funders and prospective funders – in Hebrew and in English
- Write all donor-driven projects, working with all regional council departments to gather data
- Expand existing donor base in Israel and abroad
- Develop additional income-generating avenues
- Plan and lead all donor visits and missions
- Plan and prepare fundraising trips abroad
- Oversee all donor-driven marketing material
- Track all activities related to funding and donor relations
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- English speaker with excellent English writing skills
- Hebrew speaker with excellent writing skills
- Excellent analytical and creative skills in developing cultivation strategies
- Self-starter with the confidence and maturity needed to join a driven team
- Able to meet multiple deadlines and work well under pressure
- An academic degree
- Computer literacy: OFFICE, EXCEL, on-line grant reporting and submission, CRM
