The VP Development will work with the CEO and the hospital’s Director General to considerably increase funding both in Israel and internationally – for ongoing hospital needs and to meet the significant once-in-a-lifetime undertaking of building a first-rate 21st century rehabilitation hospital for Israel.

Reporting to the CEO, the VP Development will have well-honed managerial skills as well as demonstrated success in raising major capital gifts, building a fundraising strategy, working with board members, and growing philanthropic relationships both throughout Israel and internationally.
As VP Development of Reuth Hospital, You Get To:
- Be responsible for all global fundraising efforts;
- Manage existing portfolio of donors and prospects, cultivating and soliciting major donors worldwide – both among the existing donor base and by identifying new prospects;
- Expand the hospital’s donor base both in Israel and internationally;
- Solicit major contributions for the hospital ongoing needs, as well as its new facility, securing major gifts at the six-to-seven figure level;
- Lead and manage the fundraising team to ensure it executes the annual fundraising plan;
- Oversee all grant applications and reports to funders and prospective funders – both in English and in Hebrew;
- Plan and lead donor visits and missions;
- Oversee the development of fundraising materials, events, campaigns and initiatives;
- Oversee all data management, as well as gift processing and acknowledgement;
- Oversee all research on prospects and the assembling of materials for cultivation and solicitation visits.
This Job Is For You If:
- Have previously managed a development department;
- Have demonstrated prior experience in fundraising, board development, donor cultivation, and grant writing;
- Have previously managed a major capital campaign;
- Are personable, motivated, and a team player;
- Are an experienced writer and speaker;
- Can multi-task and prioritize, and are a quick learner;
- Are a strategic and nuanced thinker capable of creating innovative ways to effectively engage new donor audiences;
- Are detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic;
- Have a deep understanding of the Israeli and Jewish philanthropic landscape;
- Are ethical and able to model high personal and professional standards;
- Have an academic degree.

With 12 departments and 360 beds, Reuth Rehabilitation Hospital in Tel Aviv is Israel’s largest rehabilitation hospital, enabling complete treatment, under one roof, of the most complex and serious cases (including ventilated patients and those requiring dialysis). Receiving no ongoing government support, it is funded by providing services to HMOs, other insurers and the generosity of friends and supports both in Israel and throughout the world. In need of major modernization, this storied hospital is embarking on a once-in-a-lifetime undertaking to build a brand-new, larger and more modern rehabilitation hospital on land donated for this purpose by the city.
