The VP Development will work with the college President to drive the college’s fundraising through collaborations with philanthropic funders and charitable organizations both in Israel and internationally, and so further the college’s standing as a leading force for social inclusion, social mobility and academic empowerment in Israel.

Reporting to the President, the VP Development will be a dynamic and inspiring leader with demonstrated success in building a fundraising strategy, working with board members, and growing philanthropic relationships.
As VP Development of the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, You Get To:
- Be responsible for all global fundraising efforts;
- Manage existing portfolio of donors and prospects;
- Expand the college’s donor base both in Israel and internationally;
- Direct solicitations of philanthropic contributions for all aspects of the college’s teaching and research;
- Secure major gifts at the six-to-seven figure level;
- Work with governmental agents and the corporate sector to enhance employability of graduates, advance research and support college initiatives and needs;
- Lead and manage the fundraising team to ensure it executes the fundraising plan;
- Oversee the development of fundraising materials, events, campaigns and initiatives;
- Oversee all grant writing, reporting and donor communications;
- Be responsible for all data management as well as gift processing and acknowledgement;
- Oversee all research on prospects and the assembling of materials for cultivation and solicitation visits.
This Job Is For You If:
- Have at least 10 years prior experience in fundraising, board development, donor cultivation, and grant writing;
- Have previously managed a development department;
- Have previously fundraised for a comparable academic institution – an advantage;
- Speak faultless English and Hebrew;
- Are personable, motivated, and a team player;
- Are an experienced writer and speaker;
- Can multi-task and prioritize, and are a quick learner;
- Are a strategic and nuanced thinker capable of creating innovative ways to effectively engage new donor audiences;
- Are detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic;
- Have a deep understanding of the Jewish philanthropic landscape and demonstrated commitment to advancing Israel;
- Are ethical and able to model high personal and professional standards;
- Have an academic degree.
