The Director of Development will work with Ogen’s VP Development & Partnerships (Israel based) to engage American Jewish philanthropic and impact investors interested in building a stronger and more inclusive economy and day-to-day financial stability for all Israelis.

The American Friends of Ogen is a longstanding 501c3 US organization now seeking its first US-based professional to drive the growth of Ogen's fundraising through brand awareness and collaborations with partners throughout the United States.
Reporting to Ogen’s VP Development & Partnerships (Israel-based), the Director of Development at the American Friends of Ogen will be a dynamic and inspiring leader with demonstrated success in building a fundraising strategy, working with board members, and growing philanthropic relationships.
As Ogen’s US-based Director of Development, You Get To:
- Increase awareness of Ogen throughout the United States;
- Be responsible for all fundraising efforts in the United States;
- Work with the Israel-based team to execute a comprehensive fundraising plan;
- Direct solicitation of philanthropic contributions for all aspects of Ogen’s work;
- Facilitate major gift and impact investment opportunities;
- Develop fundraising materials, events, campaigns and initiatives (in collaboration with the Israel-based team);
- Coordinate Board engagement and activities;
- Oversee and coordinate legal and accounting partners to ensure administrative compliance, good governance and transparency;

- Have prior experience in fundraising, board development, donor cultivation, and grant writing;
- Have knowledge of impact investment and institutional finance;

- Are a strategic and nuanced thinker capable of creating innovative ways to effectively engage new donor audiences;
- Are detail-oriented, organized, enthusiastic, and energetic;
- Have a deep understanding of the North American Jewish philanthropic landscape and demonstrated commitment to advancing Israel and the Jewish community;
- Are ethical and able to model high personal and professional standards.
